How to add paper to the printer?

To load the paper, proceed as follows: 



a. In case you can not add paper roll directly to the printer by just removing the adjustment ring, unscrew counterclockwise the roller and remove it, add paper roll, and proceed as above. 



b.c. Put the thermal roll paper onto it and reattach the roller. Pay attention to the “ direction” of roll paper

          

d. Paper feed. Check that the front thermal paper line is cut in a straight horizontal line, and feed thermal paper into the printer mouth, it will Auto-feed. If the paper is not auto-feeding, you probably did not insert the paper correctly. You can turn the printer off and on using the switch in the back of the printer until the paper is in properly. 


e. A green light will show on the right side of the printer after paper feeding. 

Recommended thermal paper rolls for use in ChainBytes -Custom K80 printers:

• 80mm (3 1/8") width

• Paper Thickness: 63-88μm

• Paper weight from 55 g/m2 to 80 g/m2

• Roll Dimension max 180 mm (7.08”)

How to replace a printer?

Learn how to replace a printer. 
The printers used in ChainBytes Bitcoin ATMs do not need much maintenance. For best performance, ensure to clean them and remove any jams regularly. In case you need to replace a printer, follow the steps below:

1. Power down the machine and unplug it from the electricity
2. Disconnect all the cables that are connected to the printer
3. Use an oscillating ratchet to remove all the bolts (there are 4 bolts) 
4. Remove the printer and replace it with a new unit by sliding a new unit into the machine.
5. If needed, replace the printer paper roll holder by unscrewing it
6. Place all bolts back in and connect the cables
7. Turn on the machine and add paper.
