Operations - How to create a cash Operator and do a Smart Empty?

The Smart Empty is a process of sending all the bills from the Recycler to the Cashbox, resetting the Dashboard machine cash amount back to 0, and collecting the cash from the machine.
The cash from the machine should never be collected without performing the Smart Empty. If the operator does not initiate the Smart Empty before collecting the cash from the machine, the Dashboard will not display the correct figures. 

To initiate Smart Empty follow the below steps:

CREATING OPERATOR CODE

1. Navigate to the Dashboard / Operators and add an operator by clicking on the top right +Add Operator. (Operator is the person who you designate for picking up the cash)

2. Fill out the necessary information and click Save.

3. Operator-specific Smart Empty Pattern/Pin Code will be generated. 

Print or save securely this code. You will need to input this code on the machine to initiate a smart empty. 
Note: You need to generate Operator code only once per operator, Operator code can be reused for future smart empties. 
The numeric arrangement of the pin code starts with 0-8. You will see the green circle which will indicate your starting point for pattern entry.

PERFORMING SMART EMPTY ON THE MACHINE 

1. Once you are in front of your machine and are ready to pick up the cash follow the below steps to initiate the Smart empty.

  1. Click 10 times the Logo button on the screen of your machine. A dial pad will show up.
  2. Input the pattern/pin by dragging  your finger over the dial pad

2. Initiate Smart Empty 
The screen will display a Configuration page. Click "Initiate Smart Empty" and wait for the machine to dump all the cash from your Recycler to the Cash box.
IMPORTANT: Do not interrupt the process or try to pull out the recycler/cashbox or cash before Smart empty is fully finished or you may cause the failure of the system.  

3. Collect the cash
Once the machine has finished you may pick up the cash from the cash box. 
Pick up the printout (always check that your printout/dashboard smart empty and the amount of cash you picked up are the same) 

IMPORTANT: Initiating Smart Empty will reset your dashboard machine cash amount back to 0. Never pick up the cash from the machine without initiating Smart empty. If you do not initiate smart empty your Dashboard will not display the correct figures.

SMART EMPTIES - LOG

When a Smart Empty is performed on the machine a log is created in the Dashboard. 
Smart Empty log shows the assigned name of the operator who performed the Smart empty, the time, and the amount of the cash that is Emptied.
For orientational purposes Dashboard also records the approximate spot price of the bitcoin at the time of the transaction.
